RESPECT for Professional Values and Practices

Venue: Budapest, Hungary

Programme Programme

During the first year of the RESPECT project draft guidelines have been developed addressing the following:

  • Ethical issues in conducting socio-economic research
  • Intellectual property rights
  • Data protection
  • Broader professional codes governing socio-economic disciplines.

An occupational profiling exercise has also been conducted establishing the competencies needed to conduct socio-economic research at an international level.

This conference provides an important opportunity for these guidelines and the occupational profiles to be discussed and for interested parties to input into the final codes. Following the conference, these drafts will be drawn together into a final code and user manual which will aim to influence the conduct of European socio-economic research.

Attendance is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending, please register your interest and indicate why you would like to attend. The number of places is limited, and the allocation of places will depend on the level of demand.
